Update: This story previously stated the tap room was open until 5:30. It is actually open until 9:30.

MOSES LAKE - Fans of St. Brigid's Brewery now have another place to go to get their favorite ale.

St. Brigid's brews have been available at area restaurants for a couple of years, but now they're also available at the brewery's new tap room on West Broadway Avenue.

Wytko and his wife, Whitney, opened the brewery in 2011.

"We were just distributing around town and going to different festivals," owner Tom Wytko said. "But we wanted to expand and have our own space since we started the brewery."

The pair finally got the chance to set up their tap room and began working on the project earlier this year. The tap room officially opened at the end of last month, he said.

"We're very excited to be here, it's such a beautiful venue," Wytko said. "It's very nice and cozy."

The tap room features indoor and outdoor seating. Customers sitting outside have a great view of the lake, Wytko said.

"It's still warm out, so people can enjoy that part," he said. "There's a lot of space out there."

Indoors, customers can sit at a table or directly at the bar. Besides what the brewery has on tap, customers can order wines from Kyra and Jones of Washington, Wytko said.

There is also a selection of food items available, he said.

Wytko said the brewery's London Brown Ale is one of their more popular brews.

"It's real mild and goes with any type of food or by itself," he said. "The TKO Amber Ale is also good, it's my go-to beer."

Wytko makes his brews using ingredients from the Northwest. He gets his hops from Mapton, near Yakima, he said.

Other ingredients come from the Okanogan Valley and Hood River, Ore.

"We try to make it as Northwest and as local as we can," Wytko said.

The tap room is open from 3:30 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. During football season, the tap room will also be open for afternoon games on Sunday.

"Any Seahawk game in the afternoon, we'll be open for that," he said. "As well as other games that are in the afternoon."

St. Brigid's Brewery is located at 606 W. Broadway Ave. For more information, visit www.stbrigidsbrewery.com.
