Praise for Obamacare

My wife and I have signed up through the Affordable Healthcare Act for our health insurance since December. I am a retired high school teacher from School District No. 6 in Columbia Falls. We had been members of their health insurance plan for the past 29 years.

A pre-existing condition prevented changing our health insurance plan upon my retirement. There were many hours spent on the phone and needless to say some frustration due to the glitches in the initial enrollment process.

Through our new policy we have a reduction in our premium of $600 a month, a similar deductable and a far better prescription drug plan coverage.

I, for one, praise the Affordable Healthcare Act in its ability to make health care insurance available to all citizens and to reign in insurance, pharmaceutical, and healthcare costs for the vast majority of Americans that enroll.
