Americans lead an ever-increasingly active lifestyle, and today's hearing aid wearers are no different. Regardless of their technological wonders, traditional hearing aids are struggling to keep up with the demands of today's active wearers.

Nano-coating is a hot trend in the world of hearing aids - and rightfully so. Nano-coating was introduced in the mid-2000s and took hearing aids into the water-resistant category.

The key to nano-coating is a hydrophobic compound that is applied to the surface of the hearing aids, allowing the exterior to repel water.

Starkey hearing aids has added advanced oleophobic properties to its hydrashield nano-coating to better protect hearing aids from earwax and other oily substances, along with water and perspiration.

Starkey hearing aids are more reliable and durable than ever before.
