Assault leads to chase by deputy

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday regarding a man walking up to another man and assaulting him Sunday. This led to a foot chase with a deputy arresting the assailant.

A man calling from Oxford Circle reported finding multiple bags of drugs with syringes and other paraphernalia in his son’s room.

A man calling from the North Fork Road claimed that the sheriff in Cut Bank stole his gun after he had been arrested for drunk driving.

A man calling from West Cottonwood Drive requested assistance in getting his girlfriend to move out of his house.

There was a report of a man tearing his way through a door on a trailer on Whitefish Stage Road and then threatening to kill people. The man eventually left on foot and could not be located.

Someone calling from U.S. 93 South in Lakeside was fearful of a man who was causing a disturbance while he was trying to get into a nearby closed business, apparently to get some of his belongings.

A man calling from South Cedar Drive said he was attacked by his girlfriend as they were having a fight about breaking up.

After a man tore up his girlfriend’s house on East Oregon Street, he was arrested, apparently on warrants.

 

Kalispell Police got a report Saturday about items stolen from a construction site on Second Street West.

There was a report of a highly intoxicated woman walking into a pole near Third Avenue East and Fifth Street East.

There was a report of seven windows being broken out of a church on Fifth Avenue West.

After a traffic stop on U.S. 2 West, a man was arrested for drunk driving.

Early Sunday, at about 1:15 a.m., a woman was arrested for drunk driving near West Reserve Drive and U.S. 93 North.

An intoxicated woman calling from a party on 10th Avenue West said she was assaulted by another woman who “bashed her head in.” The woman drifted off to another party and could not be located.

Someone calling from a Lambert Court residence at about 2:30 a.m.  said a neighbor woman, believed to be intoxicated, was repeatedly banging on the reporting party’s door. The woman was told to knock it off.

There was a report about stop signs being stolen from the Empire Loop area.

A woman calling from Fifth Avenue West said that her 81-year-old mother, who had been drinking, was threatening to kill the daughter. The mother was taken to the hospital for an evaluation.

A four-wheeler was reported stolen by a person calling from Second Avenue West.

After a traffic stop on West Montana Street at about 12:30 a.m. Monday, a man was arrested, apparently for drunk driving.

A woman was cited for shoplifting at a store on Third Avenue East North.

 

A woman calling Whitefish Police from Iowa Avenue Sunday said that a UPS package was stolen from her porch, and she thought some neighbors might have taken it.

 

Columbia Falls Police responded to a disturbance between a man and woman on Fourth Avenue West Sunday. The couple were separated for the night.

After a traffic stop on 11th Street West, a man was arrested for drunk driving.

 

Firefighters responded Monday evening to a grass fire on the south side of Dry Bridge Gulch in Kalispell.
