CLOQUET, MN. - The Wenatchee Wild are one win away from advancing in the 2014 Robertson Cup playoffs.

On the road for its first three playoff games, the Wild were able to take the first two against the Minnesota Wilderness and now hold a 2-1 series lead as the series shifts to Wenatchee.

The Wild were able to shut out Minnesota in game one, 3-0, and edged the Wilderness again in game two, 4-3.

Minnesota was able to avoid elimination with a 4-0 win in game three.

"I thought we definitely carried most of the play, they just happened to score on the chances they got," head coach Bliss Littler said after game three. "When we made a mistake they made us pay for it, but we definitely had a lot of chances. Just need to find a way to get past them. Looking forward to having it at our place on Friday."

Chase Perry recorded 28 saves in the game one win. David Powlowski, Matthew Nuttle and Nicholas Rivera each scored a goal.

Minnesota attempted a rally in the third period, outshooting Wenatchee 11-7, but the Wild defense held firm.

Wenatchee continued its momentum into game two as Alex Rauter scored twice, Troy Loggins score once and Rivera recorded his second goal of the series.

The Wilderness pulled their goaltender in the waning moments of game two, but Wenatchee was able to hold on to its 4-3 and take a 2-0 series lead.

Wenatchee hosts games four and five (if necessary) April 11 and 12. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m.
