Class B tennis season begins

ST. IGNATIUS — Ronan and Mission’s girls tennis teams fought to a 3-3 tie in both teams’ season-opening match last Thursday.
Western B-C champion Briar Ahlborn took care of business in straight sets for the Bulldogs, as did fellow state qualifier Kayla Billette and teammate Daisie VandenBos, but Ronan’s BreAnn Turpin picked up a win at No. 4 singles and the Maidens swept the doubles matches by forfeit to force the tie.
Boys results were not available.

Wood is charged with deliberate homicide in connection with the death of Thompson Falls resident Matthew LaFriniere in May 2018.
