Roofer dies in fall while working in Florence

MISSOULA — The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating after a man suffered fatal injuries in a fall from a roof in Florence.
Ravalli County Sheriff Chris Hoffman says the 51-year-old Bonner man was clearing shingles Wednesday morning when he fell about 9 feet to the ground. Hoffman says the man died of his injuries on Thursday. His name hasn’t been released.
OSHA Area Director Jeff Funke says the man was working for a Missoula-based roofing company.
