MOSES LAKE - Big Bend softball's losing streak was pushed to seven after the Vikings dropped both games against Spokane recently.
The Vikings (1-13, 3-17) remain tied with Blue Mountain for last place in the NWAACC East.
The Big Bend batters were only able to scratch out two hits against Spokane's Haylie Van Laethem and the Vikings fell, 8-0.
Van Laethem graduated from Moses Lake High School in 2013 and pitched all five innings for the Sasquatch, recording one strikeout.
Tiffany King-Phillips and Emma Stephens recorded one hit each for Big Bend.
Despite pounding three home runs in the nightcap, the Vikings were unable to stifle the Sasquatch offense and lost their seventh game in a row, 16-4.
King-Phillips and Kim Martin hit their first home runs of the season and Brinley Miller smashed her third.
However, the Sasquatch ran away with the ball game after a nine-run fifth inning.
King-Phillips finished 3 for 3 with one RBI and two runs scored. Miller, Martin and Lauren Schwalbach also drove in one run each.
Big Bend is off until April 18 when the Vikings host Yakima Valley. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
