Appeals court upholds sentence

SANDPOINT — The Idaho Court of Appeals is affirming the prison sentence imposed against a Sandpoint man who pleaded guilty to fondling and attempting to kiss a 10-year-old girl while swimming at Lake Pend Oreille’s Talache Landing.
Anthony Lawrence Cavallero was originally charged with sexual abuse of a minor in 2007, but the charge was amended to felony assault in exchange for a plea of guilt.
