BBCC drops two against the Hawks

MOSES LAKE - Viking baseball's losing streak was pushed to three games after the team was swept by Columbia Basin at home.
Big Bend (2-8, 12-10) are tied with Blue Mountain for last place in the NWAACC East and are 2-8 in its last 10 games.
Columbia Basin lead 9-6 after four innings and the Vikings couldn't rally, falling 10-7 in the first game.
CBC completed the sweep after taking the nightcap 16-8.
In game one, Jacob Yamane finished 3 for 5 with one RBI and two runs scored. Yamane blasted his first home run of the year and notched his sixth double.
Dylan Signorelli went 2 for 5 with one RBI and one run scored.
Big Bend stymied the Columbia Basin bats in the second game and led 4-2 entering the seventh inning.
However, the Hawks were able to string together a nine-run inning to take an 11-4 lead. Columbia Basin tacked on five more runs to complete the sweep, 16-8.
Signorelli, Mitchell Darlington and Jon Dailey recorded two hits each.
Dailey smashed his third home run of the season and pushed his RBI total to 12.
Big Bend will attempt to climb the NWAACC East standings when the Vikings host Wenatchee Valley Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
The Knights are currently two games ahead of the Vikings and set in sixth place in the NWAACC East.
Wenatchee Valley is 4-6 in its last 10 games.
