MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Alumni Association will hold its annual luncheon May 3 at Frontier Middle School. The registration deadline has been extended to April 20.

The meeting begins at 11 a.m. with a silent auction, with the meeting at noon and lunch served at 12:30 p.m.

Recipients of the Alumni Association scholarships will be recognized at the luncheon, said Cynthia Calbick of the alumni association. Scholarships will be awarded to 15 students.

This will be the eighth year the group has awarded scholarships, she said.

Students from the class of 1954 will be honored as well. The class is holding a reunion that weekend, and lunch is one of the reunion events, Calbick said.

The cost for lunch is $20 per person. Any money left after the event is paid for will go toward future scholarships.

The alumni association is open to any person, whether or not they're Moses Lake alumni. Dues are $5 per year, and the money goes toward scholarships for students who have attended school in the Moses Lake district.

People can send their luncheon registration to the MLAA, PO Box 1446, Moses Lake. People who want to donate to the scholarship fund can call 509-765-8166.
