Joan Chatterton, 76, longtime Moses Lake resident passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Please feel free to leave a note for the family at www.kayserschapel.com. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory.
Joan was born on July 25, 1937 in Blackfoot, Idaho. She graduated from Blackfoot High School. On June 17, 1955, Joan married her high school sweetheart, Garth Chatterton. After marriage, they moved to Moses Lake, Washington where they raised their three children. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.
She worked as a sales clerk at Central Office Supplies, which was later known as Haley's Office Products, for 35 years. She was very well known for her teasing wit and fun-loving personality.
Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Garth, in 2010. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Pearl Neihart, and also her two grandsons, Kacey and Levi. She is survived by her three children, son Kirt and wife Tammy and their children Kandice, Autumn Breeze and Michael Kole; daughter, Cindy Chatterton and Tony and their son, Jacob; daughter, Denise Grubb and her husband Joe and their children Codie, Jamie and Matt; four great grandchildren; three siblings, Bonnie, Dennis and Erlene.
A very special thank you to the caregivers whose loving devotion has been a true blessing. Although she has joined her heavenly father, she will be greatly missed. No funeral services will be held at Joan's request.
