Warden's Aaliyah Enriquez sets school strikeout record

WARDEN - Against Warden's Aaliyah Enriquez, the Kittitas Coyotes had zero chance.
Enriquez struck out a school record 20 batters en route to the Cougars' 4-3 win against Kittitas recently.
Warden (2-0, 7-0) continued its strong start to the season with a sweep against Royal to open SCAC play. The Cougars took the first game 7-3 before dominating the nightcap 11-0 in five innings.
Enriquez combined for 23 strikeouts during Warden's two wins against the Knights, bringing her strikeout total to 43 for the week.
Brenna Whitney was 2 for 4 with in triple and Andrea Contreras was 2 for 3 with two doubles in game one against Royal.
Allycia Gonzales led Warden in the nightcap with two doubles. Leilani Pruneda was 2 for 2 with five RBIs and a three-run homer.
Othello routs Prosser
OTHELLO - Othello (4-0, 6-0) had no shortage of offense against Prosser and won both games by a combined score of 40-1.
The Huskies took the first meeting 27-0 and followed up with a 13-1 victory.
Dominique Martinez struck out eight batters and allowed no hits through three innings. Holly Fleshman completed the no hitter for Othello in relief.
In game one, Diamond Franco was 5 for 5 with two doubles. Kirsten Quigley was also 5 for 5 with two doubles.
The Huskies implemented a more conservative offense in the nightcap.
Madison Martinez hit a home run in each game against the Mustangs.
Othello will host Ephrata in a doubleheader on April 19.
First pitch is scheduled for 11 a.m.
