MLHS boys golf stays unbeaten

MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake boys golf team remains undefeated in district play after winning a five-team match on Monday at Moses Lake Golf Club.

Brody Milbrandt led the Chiefs and tied for first place in the match with a 75 on the par 72 course.

"Winning the match and having a player tied for medalist made this a great day for us," coach JR Cox said. "Getting Brody back from an injury was a spark for us today."

Other Chiefs that finished well were Nick Sunderland 82; Jake Williams 82; Dylan Greninger 83; Kellan Roellich 86; Trent Jones 90.

The girls golf team finished third in the five-team field.

Mikayla Chavez placed third overall with a 93. Chavez struggled early with two triple bogeys on the front nine.

She remained stellar on the par 3s, by making four pars.

Other Moses Lake girls who scored well were Megan O'Neill who made three pars and finished with a 105; McKenna Conley 111; Emily Dennis 116.

Moses Lake boys golf will travel for a match hosted by Eisenhower on Thursday.

The girls team will return to the links April 21 to face Eisenhower.
