The Old Town Center is getting a facelift.
Walter Kuhn and Dan Kurz of Bigfork Properties LLC purchased the shopping complex in 2013 and are working on some small improvements to the property.
The character, name and shops will remain the same, but new paint and fresh landscaping are coming in.
The pair purchased the property because they had capital to invest. “We certainly didn’t buy it to enhance Bigfork,” Kuhn said, “but now that’s what we want to do. We’re really invested in Bigfork.”
Kuhn also hopes to pave the dirt area of the parking lot, which is part of the Montana 35 right of way. He is waiting on approval from the Montana Department of Transportation.
The shopping complex was remodeled and renamed about 13 or 14 years ago, Kuhn said. And it’s been long overdue for a spruce.
Kuhn anticipates the painting will be done by the end of the month and then they will begin landscaping.
