• ActiveWest Builders recognized by EPA

ActiveWest Builders of Coeur d'Alene was recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency and Energy Star for contributing 16 more Energy Star-certified homes to the market last year.

To date, the building company has contributed about 70 such homes to the market. That is equivalent to eliminating emissions from 24 vehicles, saving 123,420 pounds of coal, planting 95 acres of trees and saving homeowners $20,400 on their utility bills.

"Through your partnership, you are helping homebuyers to experience the peace of mind, quality, comfort and value that come with every Energy Star-certified home," Energy Star wrote to ActiveWest Builders. "You are also providing homeowners with homes that use less energy and have lower maintenance costs."
