What had been the UPS franchise location at 2900 Government Way is now the independent The Post Box Pack & Ship Center.

With the same business structure, owner Greg Hastings and manager Teresa Wright offer packing, shipping, postage, notary, copy and printing services and private mailbox rental. UPS, Federal Express and Post Office services remain.

Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska, Hastings came to North Idaho from Bend, Ore. He plans to add DSL and truck freight and crating services. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Phone 665-6970.

Slick Rock Spa to open

A mega-salon with 22 rooms, Slick Rock Tanning & Spa plans to open this week in the Super Supplements Mall in the northwest corner of Highway 95 and Neider Avenue.

Expanding from its Highway 41 location in Post Falls, Slick Rock offers skin hydration, red-light therapy, whole body vibration, hydro-massage, far infrared sauna, sunless spray tanning and new UV tanning equipment.

"The first installed in the country, this new technology will revolutionize and individualize the tanning experience," said Paige Kaplan, owner with her husband Adam. "These new sunbeds will know your name and customize each session for your skin and preferences."

Both Slick Rock locations are open 9 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays. Phone 262-9700 in Post Falls and 665-ROCK (7625) in Coeur d'Alene.
