MOSES LAKE - Registration is available for classes at Big Bend Community College for people trying to earn a GED.

The college offers daytime and evening classes, college spokesperson Doug Sly said. Classes are offered in Othello and Quincy as well as Moses Lake, Sly said.

Along with the GED (general education diploma), there are Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes. The HS21 program is for people older than age 21 who want a high school diploma.

Most jobs require at least a GED, Sly said, and people who want to go to college, or get a better job, have to have some kind of secondary degree.

"These classes have open enrollment, so you can enroll now," Sly said. People who want more information can contact Hope Candanoza, 509-793-2301.
