Kalispell police have completed their investigation into the apparent murder-suicide of Dan and Stacy Fleck last month.

According to statements previously issued by the department, it is believed that Dan shot and killed Stacy before turning the gun on himself at their 134 Fly Way home shortly before 1 a.m. March 25.

Law enforcement responded after their adult son called to say his father had shot his mother.

Kalispell Police Chief Roger Nasset said Tuesday that the investigation wrapped up last week and detectives now are awaiting results from the Montana State Crime Lab, where evidence from the scene is being analyzed.

“We have several different types of evidence being analyzed, including fingerprints, DNA and blood spatter,” Nasset said.

An official statement will be issued after those results come in, Nasset said.
