The Trojans' Abby Danielson won in No. 1 girls singles.

Coeur d'Alene is scheduled to play at Moscow on Wednesday, weather permitting.

POST FALLS - Seventh-inning home runs from Nick Nyquist and Sean Sutton provided the winning margin as the visiting Vikings topped the Trojans 8-5 in an Inland Empire League contest.

"Nick Nyquist is a special player, and he came through for them," Post Falls coach Dustin Frank said of Nyquist's two-run homer in the seventh. "It was a fun game, we played well, but just came up a few hits short and made a couple mistakes with our pitches."

Treavor Hammell had a home run among his two hits for the Trojans (9-8, 1-6 IEL), who host Lake City on Friday.

Michael Hicks belted a homer and had three hits overall for Coeur d'Alene (14-4, 7-1), which travels to Lewiston for a doubleheader Saturday.
