Eastern Washington golf
Dodge, a sophomore from Post Falls, finished tied for 22nd with an 82-74-80-236 at the season-ending Big Sky Golf Championships on Tuesday at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Ariz. Eastern Washington finished seventh in the team standings.

Idaho indoor track and field
Helbling, a redshirt junior from Lake City High in Coeur d'Alene, was named to the 2013-14 Academic All-Western Athletic Conference team for winter sports. To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.

Howell, a junior from Lakeland High, was named the Frontier Conference field athlete of the week on April 14 after finishing with second in the long jump at the WAR (Washington Against Region) meet at Spokane Falls Community College with a jump of 17 feet, 11 3/4 inches.
Kinsey Gomez
Oregon State track and field
Gomez, a junior from Coeur d'Alene High, running her first-ever 10K, demolished the school record at the Mt. SAC Relays in Walnut, Calif., last Thursday, finishing the elite race in 34 minutes, 37.80 seconds. The time was 50 seconds better than the previous record, set in 2010. "I am ecstatic that this is her first 10K experience," Oregon State assistant coach Laura Harmon said. "It's a great time and now she can stop worrying about qualifying for regionals. It is out of the back of her mind and Kinsey can instead focus on training, having fun with our home meet on May 2 and the conference championships."
Bekah Kastning
Hillsdale (Mich.) College softball
Kastning, a freshman shortstop from Lakeland High in Rathdrum, drove in five runs in a doubleheader against Lourdes, leading the Division II Chargers (16-16) to a 10-1 and 12-6 sweep in Toledo, Ohio. Kastning is now batting .320 (31 for 107) with 19 RBIs and 13 runs scored.
Rhianna Grossman
Carroll track and field
Grossman, a junior from Lake City High, finished fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase on Friday at the Oregon Relays in Eugene, finishing in 100:49.84. She now ranks second in the nation in steeplechase among NAIA competitors.
Matt Hammond

Hammond, a freshman catcher from Post Falls High, has started in 11 of his 14 appearances for the Pioneers (12-14), a Division III school in Grinnell, Iowa. He is currently batting .205 (9 of 44) with five doubles and 10 RBIs.
Lindsie Scholwinski
Community Colleges of Spokane softball
Scholwinski, a freshman from Coeur d'Alene High, began the week tied for the lead in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges in strikeouts with 114 and is second with an earned run average of 1.13 for the Bigfoot (21-11). She is 8-5 on the season with 13 appearances and 12 starts.
