Bigfork High School tennis players are in for a busy week.

Tuesday the Vikes and Vals headed to Whitefish, Thursday they will play in Ronan and Saturday Libby.

“This really is the busiest week,” said coach Paul Sullivan.

The loaded schedule is both good and bad Sullivan said. The team is fairly young this year, and for some of those players, time might be better spent practicing. But on the other hand, a busy week of competition helps ready athletes for the Divisional and State tournaments.

“It’s a nice kind of mid-season stress test,” Sullivan said.

Though the team is young some of the new players are starting to get the hang of things, and enjoying themselves.

“I think we’ve got a number of young kids who are really enjoying the sport,” said Sullivan, “It’s exciting for the future, but we’re having a lot of fun with them this year too.”

Last week tennis played Loyola Sacred Heart on Tuesday, and hosted flight tournament at home on Saturday.
