Columbia Falls bull rider Matt Triplett is now ranked seventh in the Professional Bull Rider world standings after some great performances this season.
Triplett, 22, earned $65,197 through April 13 after winning the third round of the Built Ford Tough Stanley Performance in Action event at Metra Park in Billings. Triplett had a 89-point score riding Guns and Donuts.
But Triplett failed to score in the championship round. He opened the event with an 85.75 on April 11 and had an 84 score on April 12.
His next bull riding event will be in Des Moines, Iowa, this weekend.
This is Triplett’s third season as a professional bull rider. He’s been riding bulls since he was 10 years old. Last season, he qualified for the Built Ford Tough World Finals.
