POST FALLS - Tickets are on sale for the North Idaho College Foundation's Really BIG Raffle that includes a $265,000 home built by NIC carpentry students at 2728 Bunchgrass Drive in Post Falls.
The home is on a corner, one-third-acre lot that fronts Syringa Park.
Tickets are $100 each and 5,000 will be sold before the July 9 drawing. Ticket outlets include Super 1 Foods, Trading Co. Store in Post Falls, Stein's Family Foods, Stock Building Supply, Lake City Ford, Buck Knives, the NIC Workforce Training Center in Post Falls and the NIC Foundation Office on NIC's Coeur d'Alene Campus.
Ticket-holders do not need to be present to win any of the prizes, which also include a $20,000 car, $10,000 boat, $3,500 vacation package, $2,000 shopping spree, $750 Costco gift card and a Silverwood Theme Park Gold Season Pass.
Open houses at the Post Falls home will be on May 18, June 8 and June 22 from noon to 4 p.m. each day.
This is the 21st year of NIC's largest annual fundraiser, a collaboration between volunteers, sponsors, community supporters and the NIC carpentry program.
Features of the home to be raffled include vaulted living areas, a large master suite with a walk-in closet, tiled shower, separate office/den, skylights, a three-car garage, partial fencing and room for RV parking.
The raffle is sponsored in part this year by major sponsors Stock Building Supply and Washington Trust Bank. The NIC Foundation partners with donors to invest in NIC, the students and employees to provide access to educational opportunities. All proceeds support student and program needs at NIC.
