Libby tennis battles wind at Cut Bank Invitational
Phil Johnson | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 10 years, 8 months AGO
Libby High School tennis traveled to Cut Bank last weekend to participate in the Cut Bank High School Invitational.
Coach Kyle Hannah said his team played well considering gusts up to 60 mph and the 41 degree temperature at the end of play Friday.
“We worked hard and I was pleased with the kids’ efforts,” Hannah said. “The boys struggled a bit against Fergus, but we were mixing players around for every match.”
Hannah praised Ally Buckner and Joelina Lawrence for the strides they made as a doubles team. He also mentioned Sarah McBride’s strong play indoors.
Libby will host the Libby Invitational on Saturday.

Mountain pleads not guilty to seven Yaak burglary charges

Libby's conference leading rusher puts team on his back
Announcing Libby Loggers football games this year is a predictable endeavor. With the passing game aching from the absence of graduated All-State quarterback Jared Winslow, the Loggers are a committed ground team. Reminiscent of the era when offenses were pleased with three yards and a cloud of dust, the Loggers run game repeatedly rams the ball right into the teeth of the opposing defense.
