SANDPOINT — According to state organization Preservation Idaho, the Sandpoint Business and Events Center is a stand-out combination of history and function.

Following its conversion into office space, an event venue and a community college, the historic downtown building has new life and new significance for local residents. Preservation Idaho honored the restoration this week by with a Contribution to Historic Preservation award for its annual Orchids and Onions recognition ceremony.
