WARDEN - Warden softball continues to pound the SCAC and is undefeated so far.

The Cougars (6-0, 11-0) have outscored their opponents 157-14 in 11 games this season. The latest victim was the Coyotes of Columbia (Burbank).

Warden swept both meetings by scores of 17-0 and 16-0. The Cougars totalled 30 hits in the doubleheader.

Aaliyah Enriquez pitched a gem, striking out 13 batters and recording a no-hitter in game one.

Enriquez helped her own cause with three hits, five RBIs and a home run. Allycia Gonzales was 3 for 3 with three runs scored.

"It took a couple of innings to get going, but after we adjusted a bit, we hit the ball very hard today, and the great thing was it came from everyone in the lineup," head coach Wes Richins said.

Brenna Whitney, Leilani Pruneda and BryLee Whitney added two hits each.

Enriquez continued her dominance in the nightcap, striking out 10 Coyotes. She also homered again and drove in two runs.

Lexy Pruneda was 3 for 4 with a triple and Aneissa Gonzales was 3 for 3 with two doubles and three runs scored.

"We have been preaching to these girls to get a little better each day, and they have been putting in the work and having some success," Richins said. "Hopefully we can continue to shore up on a few things and continue to play well together as a team."

Richins and his staff will get a good gauge of how his team stacks up to the elite of the SCAC when Warden travels to face first place Connell (8-0, 11-3) May 3.
