Swimming at public parks

Recently in the CBH police reports it came to my attention that some people were cited for swimming at Cascade Park. That's right, swimming! I thought that was odd until I remembered; swimming is not allowed at Cascade Park! You can do almost any water activity at this public park except swim. The old swimming area had been converted to docking for boats and etc. I had spoken to Spencer Griggs at the park and rec. dept for Moses Lake summer of 2013 and was told that City of Moses Lake deemed it was unsafe to swim there because there is no longer a specific swimming area! If you think that our parks should be available to everyone, call up Spencer and let him know. I also believe you cannot legally swim at Montlake Park.
