Second at state for 15U team

The Glacier All-Stars 15U baseball team finished up its 2014 season with a second-place finish at the state tournament in Helena. 

The team went 5-1 in the 10-team tournament, just falling short in the championship game. 

The team entered the tourney as two-time state champions (2013 and 2014) and finished with only one loss in the three years of state tournament competition combined.

A bill requiring the state to electronically verify that all foreign nationals are in the U.S. legally before issuing a Montana driver’s license or ID card was signed into law by Gov. Brian Schweitzer on April 18.

Uphill skiers need to be aware of avalanches on Big Mtn.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
