GRANT COUNTY - Six wanted felons were arrested Friday in Grant County by the U.S. Marshals Pacific Northwest Violent Offenders Task Force.
A total of 10 task force officers representing the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Moses Lake Police Department, U.S. Marshal's Spokane, Ephrata Police Department, Whitman County Sheriff's Office, Pend Oreille County (Idaho) Sheriff's Office and Kennewick Police Department partnered to find and arrest violent offenders with outstanding felony warrants.
Among those arrested were Jordan Delbert Tebow, 31, of Moses Lake, who was booked in jail on a warrant for failing to appear on possession of methamphetamine charges and for failing to return from jail furlough while serving a sentence for second-degree theft. He was reportedly located at an apartment on Stratford Road Northeast in Moses Lake and refused to come out. A warrant was granted for the residence and police reportedly found two small children hiding in a closet. The two children told the officers "Daddy's under the floor," according to the sheriff's office. Police found a hole cut in the floor and after an hour and sending two officers under the apartments, Tebow was taken into custody.
"This was another great operation by the members of the Marshals Task Force," Sheriff Tom Jones said. "The arrest of Tebow shows that the task force will go to any length to bring wanted offenders into custody."
Also arrested were Jesus Ariza, 22, of Warden, who was wanted on three outstanding theft warrants and one for second-degree burglary. Ariza was located in Warden and was reportedly caught after a short foot pursuit.
Shawn Ray McLanahan, 44, of Moses Lake, and Jessica Jayne Steele, 26, both of Moses Lake, were arrested on warrants for possession of a controlled substance and also charged with possession of methamphetamine.
Karalyn Lyn Fithen, 30, of Moses Lake, was arrested on a warrant for escape communi7ty custody for second-degree identity theft.
Manuel Jose Oliva, 31, of Moses Lake, was arrested on a state Department of Corrections detention order, according to the sheriff's office.
