Whitefish High School fall sports start-up dates:
Football
Player meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 3 p.m. in the wrestling room. All paperwork will be collected, lockers and gear will be issued. First practice is Friday, Aug. 15th at 7:15 a.m. Meet in the locker room. Coach Ross: [email protected]
Cheerleading
First practice is Monday, Aug. 18 from 8-10 a.m. at the north entrance to the high school track. Girls need to bring water and tennis shoes. All paperwork must be submitted prior to practice. Coach Emily Smith: [email protected]
Volleyball
Player meeting is Thursday, Aug. 14 at 7 p.m. in the girls varsity locker room. Tryouts are Monday, Aug. 18 at 8 a.m. Players need to bring a water bottle and be dressed in athletic wear. All paperwork must be submitted prior to practice. Coach Scott: [email protected]
Cross Country
Practice begins Monday, Aug. 18 at 8 a.m. at the Whitefish High School track. Athletes need to be dressed in running clothes and running shoes. All paperwork must be submitted prior to practice. Coach Brist: [email protected]
Golf
Parent meeting is Thursday, Aug. 14 at 8:30 a.m. at Whitefish Lake Golf Course. The first practice will follow the meeting. All paperwork must be submitted prior to practice. Coach Olson: [email protected]
Boys Soccer
First practice is Friday, Aug. 15 at 8 a.m. at Smith Fields. Athletes must have all paperwork prior to practice. Bring soccer gear and a water bottle. Coach Byrd: [email protected]

First practice is Friday, Aug. 15 at 7:30 a.m. at Smith Fields. Athletes must have all paperwork prior to practice. Bring soccer gear and a water bottle. Coach Farrens: [email protected]
Paperwork
All participants must have the following on file prior to practice: Physical, activities consent/release form, drug testing opt-in/out form, concussion form, impact test with Amanda Estepp, Athletic Trainer- Thursday, Aug. 14 at 10 a.m.
Paperwork can be picked up from each individual program coach, at the Whitefish School District office or found on the activities page of the Whitefish High School website.

Rehberg to attend rally for Jesus statue
Montana Rep. Denny Rehberg will attend a public rally in Whitefish on Nov. 10 in support of the World War II statue of Jesus on Big Mountain. Rehberg will be at the VFW Post 276 on Baker Avenue at 1 p.m.
Sled Dog Days pints for a purpose
Flathead Sled Dog Days is gearing up for its fifth annual dog sled race Jan. 6-8. Race organizers have partnered with the Whitefish Winter Carnival to become part of their festivities next month.
