First of all, I would like to say what a great job the Post Falls Police Department and Kootenai County Fire and Rescue did for the rescue of “Bridger” who was left in a ditch at a Post Falls park. Also to River City Animal Hospital for doing all they could to help the poor dog. And the Post Falls detective division did a great job working hard on the case to find the suspect and make an arrest.

I hope the suspect is punished to the full extent of the law and not just given a slap on the wrist so he can do it again to some other poor, helpless, innocent animal. There is too much animal abuse in our society, and it should be treated the same as child abuse.

My heart breaks for what Bridger went through. It should never have happened. How would that kid like it if someone stabbed him, hit him with rocks, and pushed him in a ditch left to suffer and die? It should be an eye for an eye.
