EPHRATA - For three innings, Klamath Falls had the defending champions on the ropes.

Up 4-0 entering the fourth inning, Klamath Falls starter Josh Overstreet had allowed one hit up until that point.

However, the Alabama Rawdogs roll over and tagged Overstreet for three runs each in the fourth and sixth inning to take the lead for good.

Alabama added three more runs in the seventh inning for good measure and defended its World Series crown with a 9-4 win.

Paul Chisholm carried Alabama Thursday afternoon, finishing 3 for 4 with four RBI.

Tony Kucera earned the win for Alabama, allowing one hit and one run in 4 2/3 innings of relief.

Jesse Hilyard opened up the scoring with a grand slam in the bottom of the third after Klamath Falls had loaded the bases on an error by Alabama and two straight singles.

Hilyard's grand slam would be the last hit of the game for Klamath Falls.

Alabama began to chip away, scoring three runs in the top of the fourth.

Cory Childress knocked a RBI single and Chisholm drove in two Rawdogs to bring the defending champs within one run.

Alabama was able to tie the game at 4-4 when Brian Lane scored on an error.

Chisholm recorded his third and fourth RBI of the day on a two-run single, giving Alabama the lead.

The Rawdogs put the game out of reach in the seventh when the team added three more runs on three hits.

Chisholm and Hilyard were the players of the game for their respective teams.
