Babe Ruth World Series: Glacier All-Stars fall to Phoenix

GLEN ALLEN, Va., — Phoenix, Ariz., the Pacific Southwest Regional champions, whipped the Glacier All-Stars, the Pacific Northwestern Regional champions, 13-3 on the third day of play at the Babe Ruth Baseball 13-year-old World Series on Monday afternoon.

Phoenix, now 3-0 in tournament action, blew the game open with a 7-run third inning. Phoenix also scored three times in the first and sixth innings.

Glacier, 0-2, scored once in the second, fourth and fifth innings.

Coby Clark-Dickinson, 2 for 3, scored two runs for Glacier and finished with an RBI.

Tanner Gove, 2 for 3, had the other RBI for the All-Stars.

Gove, Colten McPhee and Lee Walburn hit doubles for Glacier.

Both teams made plenty of mound changes with Phoenix calling on five pitchers and Glacier four.

Nolan Gorman and Alex Palacios both went 2 for 3 and drove in three runs to power the Phoenix offense.

Glacier continues with American Division pool play today at 11 a.m. versus Greenville, N.C. (1-2).
