Hearing set in video voyeurism case

SANDPOINT — A preliminary hearing is pending for a young man from California who secretly recorded a 16-year old girl in her bathroom this summer.

Matthew Dean Weber is charged with two felony counts of video voyeurism. He remains held at the Bonner County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Weber, an 18-year-old from Carlsbad, is accused of using the camera on his mobile phone to capture the alleged victim in various states of undress on Aug. 9 and another unspecified date this summer.
