SANDPOINT — After passing through Sandpoint and nearing Hope Friday morning, the megaload shipment is expected to leave Idaho early this morning en route for Montana.

As of Monday afternoon, the massive shipment, weighing in at almost one million pounds and more than 300 feet long and 20 feet wide, reached milepost 49.1 on Highway 200 in its way to the Montana border. Its progress Sunday night and Monday morning was stymied, however, when a radiator leak forced the convoy to halt in order to clean up spilled fluid and fix the problem. After traveling only a few miles, the megaload stopped just after midnight to assess damage and plan for repairs.
