The Columbia Falls Booster Club will hold its annual Blue and White Barbecue fundraiser at the high school gym on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. with a hamburger or polish dog, chips, drink and a cookie for $5.
The club also is looking for support from community businesses. The club typically raises $10,000 to $15,000 for sports uniforms and equipment, sports calendars and programs, Wildc/kat merchandise and banners, state-placing receptions and goody baskets.
Last year, the club provided $3,500 for weight room benches, racks and platforms, $1,000 for T-shirts for all activity participants, $1,000 for cheerleading uniforms, $800 for divisional and state program support ads, $750 for a spaghetti feed kickoff, and a food donation to the student council for its Powder Puff Barbecue. For more information on the Booster Club, call the club’s officers at 250-3932 or 253-6581 or 249-6635.
