PLAINS - Andra Sweet gives Aidan Rich, 7, a hair cut during the second annual Cut-a-thon. The event is sponsored by Rockstars and Ordelheide Dental. Hair cuts were given for free, although donations were accepted.

Last year the event saw great success and brought in $580. This year the hope was to beat that number. With increased advertising throughout the area, the four hair cutters on duty prepared themselves for a busy day.

Along with Sweet, Susanna Undseth, Kristi Scott and Josie Schuster were ready with clippers and scissors.

Proceeds go to the Plains School District. Ordelheide Dental provided goodie bags for the kids who came to get their hair cut.

The event spanned four hours in total. The amount raised was not available at the time of press.
