Everyone wins with summer reading program

POLSON  – The North Lake County Public Library wrapped up its 2014 Family Summer Reading Program Aug. 14 by drawing names for dozens of prizes displayed at the library throughout the summer.

Children of all ages were invited to come to the library, log their summer reading and participate in Thursday-morning summer activities designed to entertain and inspire readers.

POLSON  – The North Lake County Public Library wrapped up its 2014 Family Summer Reading Program Aug. 14 by drawing names for dozens of prizes displayed at the library throughout the summer.

Children of all ages were invited to come to the library, log their summer reading and participate in Thursday-morning summer activities designed to entertain and inspire readers.

Polson’s youth librarian Martel Memmer met with a room full of kids each week to share all kinds of science-related activities.

Participants watched a physics demonstration, played games, had an egg-drop contest, made volcanos, saw a puppet show, watched a movie and enjoyed a bug race during the summer.

But the annual activities were highlighted by the prize give-away that signified the end of this year’s official summer program.

The 2014 Family Summer Reading Program winners are:
