MOSES LAKE - A trucker was hurt after a semi rolled over on an interstate on-ramp near Moses Lake.
The driver was headed south on state Route 17 and attempted to turn onto eastbound I-90, according to Moses Lake Fire Department Chief Tom Taylor.
As the trucker, Mark Zimmerman, 53, of Garden Grove, Calif., rounded the curve, his truck rolled over onto its left side,
Zimmerman received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital.
First responders used extreme caution, as the truck was carrying potentially hazardous and flammable materials, according to Taylor.
The fire department and officials from the trucking company determined the scene was secure and there were no spills.
Responders could not turn the truck upright and were forced to unload the truck while it was still on its side because of the weight of the truck's cargo.
A local flatbed was called by the fire department, and representatives from the trucking company unloaded the cargo onto the flatbed.
