Lynn Wallace hopes to retire in four or five years and those thoughts just became a little more inviting with a $100,000 lottery win.

Wallace, who works as a full-time classified employee at Fernan Elementary in the Coeur d'Alene School District, scratched and won in Idaho Lottery's $200,000 Super Cashword game.

"I only buy a couple tickets a week," she said, adding that her winnings will help add to her retirement.

"The money will just go into an account and I'll think about (how to spend it). Everybody has had hard times - and I have too - so this will give me some cushion that I haven't had for a couple years. I'm very grateful."

Wallace purchased a $20 ticket at Fairway Gas and Grocery in Coeur d'Alene, which will receive $10,000 from Idaho Lottery for selling the ticket.

The Coeur d'Alene woman won the only $100,000 prize in the game. The odds of winning the amount was one in 366,000. After taxes, Wallace will receive $67,600.

The two $200,000 prizes in the game remain unclaimed.

The game started on May 6 and will end after both $200,000 prizes are claimed.

A longtime North Idaho resident, Wallace said she cashed in a different winning ticket and used those funds to help her purchase the Super Cashword ticket.

After she scratched the big winner, Wallace went to Fairway Gas to verify her winnings. After it was verified, Wallace was told she needed to go to Lottery headquarters in Boise to claim her prize.

"I signed the ticket and put it in a secret safe place until I could get to Boise," said Wallace, who visited Idaho Lottery's offices on Monday, nearly two weeks after she had won.
