The Whitefish Police Department was called after a woman claimed her phone was stolen at a Central Avenue bar. The caller tracked the phone to a camping location south of town and wanted officers to investigate. The phone was found discarded in a garbage container.

A woman on Baker Avenue complained about receiving “mean” voicemails from her soon-to-be ex and his former girlfriend. She wanted them to stop harassing her.

A man on Houston Point Drive complained about some Canadians setting off fireworks next door. The caller said he told the out-of-towners that fireworks were not allowed in city limits but he continued to light them. An officer came to explain the city’s policy.

A brown-and-white horse was running around on Karrow Avenue. It had no halter or other gear with which to identify its owner, the caller reported to dispatch. By the time officers arrived, the horse was back in its corral. 

A vehicle had been left near a government building in Whitefish for several weeks and a resident called to report an odd man on a bicycle was taking things out of the vehicle and placing them in a bag.

The Columbia Falls Police Department was called to a residence on Seventh Street West to deal with neighbors threatening each other, nearly escalating to violence. 

Employees at a store on Ninth Street West had video of a young woman stealing items. She was identified by one of the employees and the caller wanted advice on what to do.
