COEUR d'ALENE - The city of Coeur d'Alene will host a public workshop Wednesday to provide residents with an update on the master planning efforts for the Four Corners/Bureau of Land Management Corridor.

The master plan area runs from Independence Point to the Bureau of Land Management corridor's western boundary near the east end of Riverstone.

Welch Comer Engineers will host the workshop, which lasts from 5 to 8 p.m., in the community room of the library, beginning with a presentation on the status of the master plan. Following the presentation, attendees will be invited to visit six display stations representing sections of the corridor.

The stations - Independence Point, city parking lot improvements, Mullan Avenue, Memorial Field, BLM property from River Avenue to the U.S. 95 bridge, and U.S. 95 bridge to the western boundary of BLM property at Riverstone - will be staffed by members of the design team, corridor steering committee and representatives from various stakeholder groups.

Those attending will have the opportunity to ask questions at each of the stations and are encouraged to fill out comment sheets with feedback or suggestions.

According to a press release from the city, a webpage will be created in the future to allow viewing of the schematic drawings.
