COEUR d'ALENE - Here is how the other area high schools fared of the 100 schools ranked by Niche.com:

* Timberlake High School in Spirit Lake ranked 14th with an overall grade of B-plus. It had one A-minus in the sports and fitness category, and Bs on everything else. According to state standards, 87 percent of students at this school are considered proficient in math and/or reading.

* Lake City High School came in 32nd with an overall grade of B. The school swept all categories in the B range. Eighty-seven percent of its 1,514 students are considered proficient in math and/or reading.

* St. Maries High School came right behind Lake City, ranking 33rd in the state with and overall grade of B. It received an A-minus in health and safety, three Bs and four Cs. It also has 87 percent of its 312 students proficient in math and/or reading.

* Coeur d'Alene High School came in 43rd with an overall grade of B-minus. It received Bs in academics, sports and fitness, and teachers. It scored Cs for everything else. Of its 1,433 students, 90 percent are considered proficient in math and/or reading.

* Post Falls High School came in 64th with an overall grade of C-minus. Post Falls received Bs in academics, food and sports and fitness. It received Cs in everything else. Of 1,496 students, 89 percent are considered proficient in math and/or reading.
