Shane Allen Novak, 24, of Post Falls, was taken from us suddenly on Nov. 29, 2014, from injuries sustained in a car accident. Our miracle son, Shane, was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on June 29, 1990.

Shane loved to make people smile and laugh. He went out of his way to help others, including people he didn't know. He would brighten a room just with his smile. He spread good cheer everywhere he went.

Shane enjoyed bowling, tubing, playing video games, skateboarding, dogs, dancing, and hanging out with his friends.

During his time here on Earth, Shane made friends everywhere he went and he will be missed by all. Now he is making friends with the angels and watching over all of us.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Howard Novak; his Grammie Barbara Saunders; his Pa George Saunders; nephew Sage Gustafson; and his bulldog Monster.

Shane is survived by his father Mark Novak; mother Cheryl Dunn; sisters and brothers-in-laws Tiffany Smith (Bret) and Stefany Gustafson (Jake); grandmother Audrey Novak; as well as nieces and a nephew, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Shane's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1620 N. McGuire Road, in Post Falls.

STEPHENSON, Helen Taylor, died Nov. 24, 2014, in Wheat Ridge, Colo., following an acute illness. Born Nov. 5, 1938, in Caldwell, Idaho. Per her wishes, a memorial will be held in late spring or early summer of 2015.
