Charles 'Chuck' A. Moreland, 74

Chuck was born to Leonard and Charlotte Moreland on April 27, 1940, in Harrison, Idaho. Chuck's family moved to the Coeur d'Alene area when he was 3 years old.
On June 16, 1959, Chuck married Colleen O'Donnell. They lived in the Hayden area, where they raised their two children, Charles C. and Wendy.
Chuck worked for more than 40 years at the Huetter Lumber Mill. Four generations of his family earned their living there, including his grandfather, father, himself and his son. Chuck retired in 2001 and spent most of his time at Mirror Lake in Sagle, Idaho.
Chuck was an avid outdoorsman. Hunting, fishing and gold mining were just a few of his hobbies. Chuck, along with his family and friends, spent most of his time camping and enjoying time outdoors.
Chuck passed the morning of Nov. 30, 2014. He will remain forever in our hearts, remembered as a loyal husband, father, grandfather and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister Carol Jensen and brother Jerry Moreland. Chuck is survived by his wife, Colleen, and family including his son Chuck C. Moreland (Julie), daughter Wendy Darlas (Steve); five grandchildren: Curtis, Riki and Cody Moreland, Rebecca Pluid, and Chad Darlas; great-grandchildren Clint Harwood and Mason Potts; and brother Tom Moreland (May); along with his beloved "Lake Family."
Per Chuck's wishes there will be no service. A Celebration of Life for him is planned for 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 27, at the Hayden Lake Eagles Lodge, 1520 W. Wyoming Ave., in Hayden.
