The Coeur d'Alene Art Association is accepting silent auction bids for a unique art piece now on display at the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce.

The silent auction will benefit the art association's scholarship fund for North Idaho College art students.

"Miniature Vignettes of Idaho" is a composite piece featuring 20 original, 4-inch by 4-inch paintings on canvas by 20 local artists. The individual pieces are assembled and framed in a manner that allows them to be displayed together, or removed for individual display, or gift giving.

The composite piece is valued at $500 and offered at a starting bid of $200.

It may be viewed and bids submitted through Dec. 18 at the Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce, 105 N. First St., just in time for Christmas.

It's not the first time this piece has gone to auction. The piece was designed as a raffle item for the association's annual artist showcase earlier this year. That effort was also a fundraiser to benefit scholarships for NIC art students.

The raffle winner, a member of the CDA Art Association, return gifted the piece to raise more funds.

The artists represented in this art piece are Sue Sausser, Sandra Bergeron, Judy Hohl, Joanne Reeds, Judy Minter, Mary Kopf, Karen Pfeiffer, Sandy Wirth, Sharon Mille, Christine Owens, JanetLaunhardt, Cobie Schuchard, Jackie Jewett, Donna Yde, Yvonne Benzinger, Mariane Leake, Michele Caradies, Carol McCarty, Marlee Phillips and Debbie Motz.
