Nils Rosdahl | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 11 years AGO
The ribbon-cutting for the grand opening of NanaMac's Boutique is 9 a.m. Wednesday at the new store at 2018 N. Main St. in Riverstone.
Since the start of its online store from its warehouse in Post Falls to its new storefront, NanaMac's has sold "affordable, fashionable" women's and juniors' clothing and accessories.
Owner Suzy Hinkley was inspired by the fashion wisdom, strength and confidence of her deceased grandmother "Nana Mac" and the entrepreneurship of her grandfather Walter McCarthy, still strong at 98.
She is helped by Jeremy Shute, operations manager, and several associates.

Zip with Timberline Adventures
Three-hundred-foot-high ziplines that range to 1,800 linear feet will be the literal highlight of Timberline Adventures when it opens in June on a 117-acre parcel in Beauty Bay.
Guests will be signed and harness fitted at the outlet in the Resort Plaza Shops before being transported to Beauty Bay where they'll take UTVs to summit the property with great views of the lake.
A sky bridge is used to access the first tree to start the eight zip line canopy tour. After the 2.5-hour tour, guests will head back to the shop where photos and T-shirts can be purchased.
Jason Lindsey, who has built more than 10 zipline courses in Montana, Ohio, Tennessee and Hawaii, is constructing the course. Watch www.ziptimberline.com.
And now for the Tidbits
- Watch for news on Extension Addiction Salon on Government Way, a new location for Idaho Fence on Seltice, North Idaho Cider on Airport Drive, Physique Fitness in Riverstone and The Cellar downtown.
- So far we still haven't found any real toy logging trucks except for in the North Idaho Museum (opening for the season in April). We have found lumber trucks at the downtown toy stores and a great Idaho Potato Truck.
- Avoid space-wasting "there" when it's not needed. It also forces the boring "to be" verb of "is" or "are." The sentence "There are eight candles lighting the tree" can be "Eight candles light the tree."
- A real headline: "Cold wave linked to temperatures."
- "I feel so miserable without you. It's almost like having you here." Stephen Bishop.
