PALS: Peers as Leaders

Dean of Students John Chisholm leads a discussion with student members of the Peers as Leaders group on Monday afternoon at West Valley School. The group performs many of the functions of a traditional student council, but Chisholm wanted to avoid the “popularity contest” most student council elections become. To be one of the PALS a student must meet grade and behavior standards and must get a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
