COEUR d'ALENE - Whitney Meier poured in 17 points, Lauren Rewers added 13 and the Lake City Timberwolves stretched a 5-point first quarter lead to a 60-35 win over the Moscow Bears on Monday night at Lake City High School.

Olivia Maryon finished with four points, four steals and six assists, Keara Simpson grabbed 10 rebounds and Cierra Dvorak added eight boards for Lake City (5-1), which hosts Sandpoint on Friday.

"We're trying to play more consistently and keep up the intensity for four quarters," Lake City coach Bryan Kelly said. "We had a lull there in the first quarter, but from the second quarter on, I think we got after it and pushed the intensity.

"Our posts did a good job of being physical, and defensively we did a great job and that's what I've been stressing."
